The position of Project Engineer is ideally suited to engineering professionals who are looking for their first career move having completed their graduate training. Based in Bristol, you will be expected to provide high quality technical input to our aerospace projects, spanning both aero structures, and aero-engines. Operating at Project Engineer level, you will be expected to take ownership of technical tasks.
You will be Degree qualified in Mechanical or Aeronautical Engineering (or possess suitable experience in lieu of qualification), with at least 2 years professional experience in engineering environments relevant to the aerospace sector.
Ideally, you will have experience in one or more of the following areas:
Aerospace experience, covering aero structures and/or aero-engines.
Stress analysis (including Finite Element modelling)
Fatigue and Damage Tolerance
Design
Composite Materials
Thermal analysis
You will be expected to demonstrate the following attributes:
Professional in approach and performance
Strong communication skills
Commercial awareness
Team worker with the ability to effectively manage themselves and colleagues when appropriate.
Willingness to work outside normal office hours on occasions and flexibility for working from the office, home, and clients premises and on longer term secondments in UK and abroad.
