<b>Job Summary</b> <br><p><strong>Senior Engineer - Aerostructures</strong></p><p>A strong technical team leader, responsible for delivery of the right technical solution.</p><p></p> </p><br><br><b>Requirements</b> <br><i>Essential</i> </p><ul><li>Minimum 2:1 Honours Degree in Mechanical, Structural or Aeronautical Engineering Applied Mathematics (with appropriate experience) Ship Science or Naval Architecture<li>Above average record of academic/professional achievement - either having achieved Chartered status or working towards</li></ul>Specific expertise and experience in the following areas:</p><ul><li>Design of aerostructures<li>Structural analysis, with experience in static, dynamic, fatigue, fracture and thermal analysis<li>Finite element analysis<li>Structural/mechanical component design<li>Fluid assessment<li>Naval architecture</li></ul>Minimum SC level UK security clearance (either currently held or candidates will need to be in a position to attain this) </p> </p><i></i></p><i>Desirable</i><i> </i></p><ul><li>Previous areospace industrial experience<li>Project management experience for projects in excess of £100K fee value<li>Defence/aerospace industry background</li></ul><i>Personal Skills</i></p><i></i></p><ul><li>Previous experience within a consultancy environment<li>Good interpersonal, diplomatic, negotation and influencing skills</li></ul><br><br><b>Training</b> <br> </p>Atkins develops individuals through a portfolio of training and development courses designed to help you make the best of your abilities and talents.
