<b>Job Description</b> <br><p>Atkins has the largest UK consultant capability in the Defence market. The Defence Systems business is a progressive and rapidly expanding part of Atkins. We plan, design and enable complex defence programmes. We successfully deliver independent programme management and high-end engineering (systems engineering, safety and supportability engineering, structural engineering) services to the MoD and Defence industry. </p><p>We seek high quality, professional, committed and flexible individuals to join a rapidly expanding and successful, market leading business ~ (a leading supplier of integrated technologically based solutions to the defence systems and aerospace market) </p><p>An experienced Acceptance Manager is required to support the development and utility of a complex DOORS database for acceptance, for a major defence project.</p><br><br><b>Requirements</b> <br><p><strong>Essential</strong></p><ul><li>Experienced in Defence acceptance processes and documentation. </li><li>An understanding of the methods and techniques to be used in verification and acceptance of Defence systems. </li><li>Requirements Engineering of complex system requirements database (particularly in relation to Verification and Acceptance) using DOORS. </li><li>Understanding of the establishment of linkage between Requirements and Verification and Acceptance matrices. </li></ul><p><strong>Desirable </strong></p><ul><li>Experience of working with major defence contractors </li><li>Working with DPA, DEC and Military customers particularly in association with equipment fielding </li><li>Other AFV technical domain knowledge. </li><li>Ability to facilitate meetings and workshop with MoD stakeholders </li><li>Functional Modelling Techniques </li></ul><br><br><b>Additional Information</b> <br><ul><li>Some work outside normal office hours may be necessary. Travel to and from client sites and/or temporary secondment to client’s offices may also be required. </li><li>SECURITY – All candidates must be in a position to obtain UK security clearance to SC level.
