Outline Job Profile
A new position has opened in the Mechanisms group for a Product Team Leader (PTL).
The PTL is responsible for delivery of projects to existing cost and schedule constraints.
Knowledge of risk analysis is required.
The candidate should be able to process information from all team members and be able to exercise good judgement when making informed decisions.
The role may cover either of two kinds of projects:
a) Batch production and test of existing qualified mechanisms, or
b) a development and qualification programme (including life testing of a qualification unit).
The candidate should be able to effectively communicate with both internal and external customers.
This position would suit a person with previous project management experience or someone who is wishing to step up into this role.
QUALIFICATIONS AND/OR SKILLS
Essential:
Educated to degree level.
The candidate should be dynamic, and able to lead a team of multi-disciplined staff.
As such problem solving, leadership and communication skills are required.
Desirable:
knowledge of Mechanisms is desirable (not essential).
A candidate with a background in mechanical engineering, physics or electronics would be desirable
