Successful candidate will perform support technical analysis for the licensing of new terminals within the Client 5 system. They will be expected to process the applications with Ofcom and maintain a register of licenses applied.
This will included the registration of terminals with the ITU for protection as well as those mobile terminals making use of the commercial frequency bands.
In addition the role will involve ensuring terminals for accessing Client are certified according to requirements and issue certificates by terminal type.
Where further details on foreign militaries terminals are required this may involve detailed
technical analysis of data
Knowledge of military networks and applications would be an advantage
MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Directly reporting to the Frequency Co-ordination Manager the role will involve liaising with the main customer as well as other third party customers and our prime contractor.
License applications forms will be completed in conjunction with liaison between Ofcom and the ITU and a register maintained within Company
QUALIFICATIONS AND/OR SKILLS
Graduate with at least 3 years experience.
Good written communication skills,
Link budget analysis, terminal registration and a good understanding of satellite terminals
is required.
PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE
Essential:
At least 3 years experience with ITU radio regulations licensing of terminals through Ofcom and
certification.
PC literate (MS Office package)
Desirable:
Knowledge of military satellite communications
