Internal and External Relationships
Internal
Coordinating parts of a CM team that will supply CM services to a major project team.
Provide data, advice and structuring support to resolve configuration management issues.
Plan and drive actions to prevent configuration management concerns within project
Act as a prime point of contact for product teams and the issuing authority for formal product data.
Work with Configuration Manager to resolve any product or project CM issues.
External
Provide direction for the interface for all formal data transactions associated with products/projects from an external source to maintain baseline control and traceability.
Manage documents via email, PDM, EDM or other means in accordance with Company security requirements.
Qualification and Experience Required for the Job
Main Activities
Responsible for configuration identification and accounting of all data associated with a product under configuration control.
Responsible for maintaining the design definition.
Manage change control process using relevant tools.
Use of Filenet, SPRINT or ClearCase configuration tools, Excel, Word and Outlook.
Support users of company configuration tools.
