Required by this Defence company where you will act as a technical advisor during sea trials and represent the company during sales presentations.The ability to lead a multi disciplined design team and contribute to the management of the Naval Architecture design group is essential. You will be competent in Ship Design, Equipment Selection and specification writing and will be experienced in some of the following areas: General arrangement; Outfit; Weight Engineering; Stability; Ship Hydrodynamics. Qualification requirements include a Degree and a minimum of 5 years experience in Naval Architecture. Familiarity with ship classification requirements and Chartered status is preferred. A flexible attitude to travel both within the UK and overseas is essential.
