Outline Job Profile
To provide off site service to all Company Satellite
Communications Ground and mobile activities, with special emphasis on the latest Company (15 year) PFI Contract.
This will be to provide off site Field Engineering support to all Satellite communications terminals at ground stations, Tacticals and onboard RN ships which are under Company Contract.
Installation Site Supervisor, installation work, system fault finding, system testing, baseband to RF and mechanical work are the main areas of work within the TLS Engineering group.
The successful candidate must be prepared to travel at short notice to any location around the world. (Additional info will be provided at the candidate interview.)
Qualifications and/or Skills
Essential:
PC literate in Word and Excel, HNC in Electronics/data techniques or equivalent
Desirable:
Degree in Electronics. Some mechanical skills would be very useful.
Previous Experience
Essential: :
A thorough grounding in the RF, Tracking and antenna satellite communications hardware
Desirable:
In addition, knowledge of Data routers, PABX, Multiplexers and modems would be advantageous
