<b>Job Summary</b> <br><p><strong>Process Engineer</strong> - Atkins Nuclear are looking to recruit an experienced Process Engineer to support multi-discipline project teams working on large, complex engineering projects.</p><p>Joining a large Atkins team initially based at a client site in Berkshire, the role will support the "feasibility" stage of the project process and will encompass activities such as:</p><ul><li>optioneering of processes <li>technology deselection <li>conceptual design <li>detailed design</li></ul><p>The Process Engineer will work closely with other project team members - such as the Assurance function on safety case documentation, the Systems function on requirements and functional specialisms and Project Controls function on planning, estimating etc.</p><br><br><b>Requirements</b> <br><p>Knowledge and experience of the following areas would be beneficial:</p><ul><li>Hazards and precautions associated with chemotoxic and radioactive materials <li>Solid waste handling, processing and disposal in a nuclear environment <li>Liquid and aerial effluent handling technologies <li>Constraints to operations on a nuclear licensed site <li>Project management, including controls, planning and estimating and preparation of deliverable/work package documentation <li>Working within a multi-discipline engineering team and having a general appreciation of other disciplines' constraints and requirements <li>NII site licence conditions and the constraints laced on site operations, including project implementation <li>Environment Agency discharge authorisations and ALARP methodology</li></ul><p><strong>Preferred</strong></p><ul><li>A minimum of 5 years' general process or manufacturing industry experience <li>Experience in the civil or military nuclear industry <li>Current UK security clearance to a minimum SC level - or candidates will need to be in a position to attain this</li></ul><br><br><b>Training</b> <br></p>Atkins develops individuals through a portfolio of training and development courses designed to help you make the best of your abilities and talents.
