PAYLOAD SYSTEMS ENGINEERING REQUIREMENT FOR THE NETHERLANDS
Our client is seeking a candidate for Payload Technologies Engineer to review proposals for development of ground segment elements such as equipment, software and systems, review data packages produced during the development of ground segment elements, prepare statement of work and technical specifications for development of ground segment elements, attend meetings with companies developing ground segment elements under contract with the Agency, prepare status reports and other internal reports as required and participate in various internal meetings. You are competent in communication systems and onboard telecom digital processors (ground station engineer) and have experience in one or more of the following fields: VSAT terminal engineering, design of LNAs, frequency converters, amplifiers, power amplifiers, modems, communications software, station control software and antennas; Familiarity with communications protocols in particular DVB-S and DVB-RCS and familiarity with interfaces to the ground based telecommunications networks; Management of development contracts for ground stations and ground station equipment and software. Working in a team.
