A Project Chief Engineer will be responsible for the overall quality and integrity of the engineering function for the entire System Solution as contracted. This will include but not be limited to engineering standards, design, legislation, manufacturing, ILS, safety, quality, certification and risk. You will report to a Project Manager and be responsible for initiating, guiding and controlling the design activity in response to a defined project or business requirement. To succeed you must have a DEFENCE background and have been through the defence certification process and used the DOORS software package. Chartered Engineer status qualified to Degree or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering. A sound engineering background with a detailed understanding of hardware. At least 8 years of experience in the design of automotive, weapon or military vehicle systems.
