Ideally you will be a Graduate and OCP (Oracle Certified Professional) or equivalent, with a minimum of 5 years commercial experience of PL/SQL, Oracle development.
The perfect candidate will have experience of working alongside Java developers and have exposure/experience of J2EE architecture.
You should have: Proven ability to understand business processes; Ability to communicate fluently with senior management and non-technical staff; Proven ability to model user requirements as entity relationships, functional hierarchies and process flows is essential; Good experience of transforming logical models into physical database designs, with particular emphasis on the production of high performance systems; Ability to learn quickly under own initiative; Pragmatic and common sense approach to problem solving; Experience at analysing and designing enterprise-wide solutions, preferably with a J2EE architecture; Ideally, knowledge or experience of UML and OO analysis and design methods.
You will be the Oracle Database expert within a Java development team within the IS Department.
