This is an excellent opportunity to become part of a growing medical devices group of companies that is in the process of developing and manufacturing new technology medical product targeted towards the health industry. The key focus will be on new business development with emerging economies from South America such as Chile and Brazil. Also, assist in ensuring that the company meets with all the legal and regulatory requirements to market and distribute its products to customers in South America. As such, the Business Development Manager for South America plays an important role not only in new business development but also in safety and risk management, being a key player in legal medical devices compliance. Such a critical role requires the responsibility for independent initiative and decision-making. In doing so, the Business Development Manager for South America acts as an internal and external point of contact with respect to all product compliance issues as well as being responsible for supporting and advising on expansion into new product lines.
The Main Duties:
•Identify and develop business opportunities in South America.
•Prepare the business development plan.
•Ensure that the profit targets are met and that costs are controlled to budget or better.
•Research new development technologies and methods while improving both processes and effectiveness.
•Provide strategic research and proposals for future developments to enhance the overall business.
•Assist in ensuring that the company is legally permitted to sell the products it ships to South America.
