Position: Home Manager (1st Level Nurse)
Ref: SF02
Location: Oxfordshire
Specialism: Mental Health (EMI)
Salary: £40,000 - £45,000 p.a
Our client, a Private healthcare company is currently seeking an experienced Home Manager to take management control of its purpose built care home which provides nursing and social care for the mentally infirm elderly. This includes clients suffering from multiple forms of dementia.
Brief Job description
? Provide professional leadership to the Home ensuring strong management and control.
? Provide a systematic and individualised approach to resident care.
? Establish the necessary systems and procedures in conjunction with nursing staff to meet the needs of the residents.
? Maintain sound working relationships with Health Authorities, serving General Practitioners and other outside agencies.
? Ensure a high standard of nursing care is maintained at all times.
? Undertake visits to all departments within the Home at least twice daily and make monthly night inspection visits.
? Approve all duty rotas in accordance with Company policy.
? Liaise with Cook, Housekeeper and Maintenance Person and other department heads on a daily basis ensuring quality of service is maintained.
? Encourage a homely atmosphere with attention to activities and other outings.
? Select and appoint staff in accordance with agreed company policy and procedures.
? Give guidance and support by counselling staff and conduct disciplinary interviews as necessary in accordance with the company disciplinary procedure.
? Control the admission and reception of residents, in accordance with company policy.
? Assess consumer needs with the service being given and promptly investigate and report any complaints concerning residents, staff or relatives.
? Ensure Home is well promoted within local and surrounding community.
? Audit all information received during resident enquiry process and act accordingly.
