Skills

You will be required to be involved in individual programme planning and basic knowledge and understanding of autism is desirable. Experience in residential or day care service provision, challenging behaviour, attending reviews and case conferences is desirable, but not essential.

It is essential that you will be able to demonstrate a professional attitude and work constructively with other staff as an effective member of the team. You will need to contribute towards the maintenance of sound administrative practice and to advocate for the needs of people with learning difficulties and autism.

You will have a commitment to equal opportunities, tact, diplomacy and sensitivity, a good health record, are honest and have integrity, whilst being patient and tolerant. You will be flexible in your attitude to work, be positive and have good inter-personal skills.
