Our client's team focuses on achieving the financial performance and population targets set for the Individual and Voluntary business sectors through the active management of pricing strategies and the evaluation of Marketing activity.
Within this role, the successful candidate will have the opportunity to use both a wide range of analytical skills coupled with strong interpersonal abilities to influence the future activity within this business sector.
You will be encouraged to work using your own initiative, working closely with colleagues across the business, being able to influence at all levels to deliver real business benefits, within the following areas:
* Marketing and Pricing Strategy – You will need to be both creative and solution focused to understand and develop pricing and marketing strategies and contribute to the development of future activity.
* Marketing Analysis - To deliver analyses of customer, prospect and lapse behaviour identifying significant trends. To interpret the analyses identifying and quantifying the impacts on business performance, making recommendations for changes to current practices. To deliver with other areas workable business solutions.
* Profitability Modelling – Apply an analytical approach to understanding the key drivers that influence this sector's business performance and predict the outcome of changing those business drivers to optimise the achievement of profitability and population targets, within a changing market environment.
* Specialist Expertise - To provide expertise and advice to key strategic projects which require pricing or marketing analytical support. To identify, produce and interpret relevant analyses to support the collective decision making processes within workshops and cross-functional teams.
* Relationship Management - To build and maintain relationships with key internal customers, and to influence marketing and pricing strategy by communicating both the rationale and effects on processes of pricing decisions. To ensure customer understanding and knowledge drive business decisions.
The ideal candidate will have a strong analytical approach, a desire to employ their mathematical abilities, be able to negotiate and influence decisions to drive the business forward. Key to this role is a candidate with drive, enthusiasm, commitment and a positive ‘can do' approach. You may have gained your strong analytical skills through a mathematical, statistical, financial or marketing background, to produce quality analyses to form the basis of future pricing and marketing activity.
The working environment will require that the successful candidate is able to be flexible, working to tight deadlines and remaining effective under pressure. This will be vital to ensure delivery of appropriate business solutions in an environment driven by customer needs.
