Our client designs and manufactures home furnishing Pictures, Original canvases and clocks for premium department stores and independent retailers throughout the UK. They are considered by their customers to be the established market leaders in colour and trend prediction, innovators in Brand Creation and generally experts in the field.
A friendly yet ambitious family founded company with an illustrious history spanning some 26 years, they have leading edge aspirations to significantly increase their market share in the long term and have a unique vacancy for a Brand Manager to help them develop their ongoing plans and campaigns to ensure they achieve their goals for dramatic market penetration and increased sales.
The responsibility of this new role is to develop sales with retailers in the independent market using research and measured campaigns.
The company aims to handle the majority of its campaigns in-house with limited out sourcing. Areas to be developed may include a mix of Direct Mail, better Internet presence and email marketing, promotional activity, PR, some copy writing and editorial to help the business:
* Sell more products to existing customers
* Increase the frequency they purchase and
* Develop and nurture new customers
You will be required to work with the Sales Director to challenge the Sales Team performance and forecasts to continually propel Brand inertia into the market place. You will help focus the sales operation with promotions.
This is a ‘hands on' role for a business development all-rounder who possesses flair, a logical approach and commercial acumen for creating the right message to both customers and prospects.
The ideal candidate may have graduated in a related vocational degree, have a minimum of 5 years' first hand experience in either an integrated marketing, sales or retail background and will have the following personal attributes:
* Creative, able to develop and implement proposals and evaluate the impact of marketing/business development campaigns.
* Work to a budget, develop and manage our customer data base.
* Self-motivated, self sufficient and disciplined.
* Problem solving mentality.
* Flexible, ability to prioritise and work well under pressure.
* Have a passion to create Brand Integrity for our business and assist in changing our sales culture from sales reactive to sales proactive.
The successful candidate will join the company's sales and marketing team to research warm leads and promote the company to existing and find new customers. The role will be based at the head office in Redbourn, near to St.Albans. It is suggested that the successful candidate will have no more than a 30 minute commute as the role will have demanding hours to help raise our brand profile and sales revenue.
