Our Client is looking for a talented marketing professional who can help shape our business over the next 5 years. Taking charge of a European Product Range, you will ensure that both the short term and long term profit targets are achieved.
Reporting to the European Marketing Manager you will have four direct reports, three based in the UK, one based in Belgium.
Role & Responsibilities:
- To prepare a comprehensive marketing strategy for the product range and ensure the short term business objectives are met.
- Evaluate the future sustainability of the product range in terms of profitability and strategic importance.
- Investigate opportunities for value creation, including the potential for strategic alliances.
- To be totally aware of the existing potential market for the products in all aspects of applications, market segments, size, trends and competitors activities.
- Rigorously challenge the sales forecasts and convert these into a realistic One Year Plan, Strategic Plan and rolling forecast.
- Set challenging performance targets for direct reports and carry out regular reviews. Identify training needs and implement development plans.
Minimum requirements
- Educated to degree level in Mechanical Engineering or Material Science, with further studies in Sales, Marketing or a general Business discipline.
- 3-5 years experience of managing key Product Lines within a Tier 1 or Tier 2 Aerospace manufacturer
- Experience of creating bids for aerospace or automotive parts/programmes business.
- Experience of setting up and managing strategic alliances will also be advantageous.
