Marketing Assistant (3 Month Contract)

Our client is an Enterprise Voice Technology company and a leader in voice logistics solutions. Their software works with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) to optimise the performance of workers in distribution centres. The company currently seeks to recruit a Marketing Assistant, familiar with the WMS or supply chain software industry, on a 3 month contract.
Working in conjunction with the sales team and business partners to develop sales and business opportunities, your responsibilities will include management of prospect database, email shots, attendance at trade shows, dealing with media and developing a marketing plan. This is initially a 3 month contract position, which may become permanent or be extended for additional 3 month contracts. For the duration of the contract you will be working around 16-20 hours per week.
Your core functions will include the follow:
- Liaison with telemarketing firm and otherwise coordinate outbound lead generation.
- Arrange for press releases in target markets.
- Manage “early stage” pipeline accounts in Salesforce.com.
- Outbound telemarketing to pre-qualify leads for reps.
- Arrange for document translation as necessary.
- Work with customers on case studies.
- Coordinate participation in partner/trade events.
- Coordinate planning for company user meeting.
- Ensure supply of UK- and EMEA- compatible collateral.
- Coordinate any training courses to be held in Theale.
- Research lead gen/event opportunities for inclusion in annual budget.
You will hold good communication skills both written and verbal, and will be a team player with understanding of commercial software market and a good knowledge of office applications. In addition, also desirable would be a marketing qualification, or knowledge of the retail, manufacturing or logistics industry.
Applicants will also hold the following experience:
Essential
- Proven experience of telephone sales and marketing.
- Must demonstrate previous working experience with a CRM application.
- Proven experience in marketing activities such as mailshots and event management.
Desirable
- Experience of working within a software company.
- Previous experience of working in the supply chain / logistics environment.
- European languages.
You will also be able to develop mailshots, qualify prospective customers on the telephone, manage your own time effectively. Preferably you will be prepared to be flexible on occasions when the work load varies.
