A leading chilled foods manufacturer is currently seeking a logistics manager to join their team
Responsibilities include
Control of labour, materials and equipment; all finished goods held on site.
Provide efficient storage, and stock control operation up to the point of distribution.
Manage through our contracted distribution service the onward delivery to our customers ensuring accurate timely deliveries.
Develop and implement the IT lead bar coding project.
Essentially you will be a-hands on manager who is a good communicator at all levels, he/she believes in team working within self managed teams. It is important to maintain good working relationships whilst ensuring strict adherence to procedures and behaviour whilst promoting a change culture.
You will ideally be in a similar position, experience within a food warehouse operations having managed change and continuous improvement activity; ideally though not essentially familiar with union environments with proven success of influencing change.
Fluent IT skills - experience in Word, Excel, E-mail and SAP and a knowledge of distribution systems in retail, coupled with a solid background in Warehouse management and distribution, with proven success in managing warehouses and large stock holding business.
