Our South-West based client is a leading manufacturer of temperature controlled and specialist vehicles who require an experienced Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to lead the existing team.
The position requires a dynamic, self-motivated, logical individual who will be capable of bringing modern mechanical techniques to the forefront of the engineering team to establish design schemes that will be cost effective for the company, bringing products to completion within the set timescale and budget will be required.
The role will require constant contact with shop-floor, clients, engineering team and other members of staff therefore excellent communication and personnel skills are required.
Hands on approach to all aspects of design, customer contact, changes to specifications, carry out change and modification procedures to support existing designs.
The role will entail standardization across the board of existing designs and new.
Developing design outlines into detailed manufacturing drawings, generate assembly, wiring and other supporting drawings.
The company has manufacturing projects at varied levels of life-cycle; a logical, methodical approach of multi-tasking is essential.
