Our Client specialises in the design, manufacture and assembly of plastic components for automotive and specialist industries worldwide using state-of-the-art technology. Due to their success they are now looking for a Manufacturing team leader.
Job Summary:
To ensure that all Production requirements are manufactured to a high quality and within adherence to Customer requirements. To direct and motivate a team with reference to the company business systems, rules and procedures.
Key Roles, Responsibilities and Objectives
- Leading a small team of people
- Managing the smooth and efficient running of the department/ cell
- Ensuring that all team members operate inline with the standard working Practices to maintain high level quality standards.
- To develop, implement and maintain relevant control, monitoring & generating measures (KPI's) and set targets for achievement on key measures, such as scrap, adherence to plan, etc.
- Providing and maintaining safe working practices at all times.
- Identifying individual and department training needs on a regular basis, ensuring that all team members receive adequate and appropriate training to enable then to perform all tasks /operations with in the department/ cell across all disciplines.
- With the assistance from HR, assist with the co-ordination of training, learning and development plans for each of team member.
- Maintaining the highest standards of housekeeping at all times within the department and communicating to all team members the expected level of standard to be maintained.
- Continual seeking improvement opportunities within the department/ cell.
- To provide support and guidance to your team acting as a role model at all times.
- Liaising with other Team Leaders & managers
- To provide solution for containment activities required within the department/ cell – ensuring all team members communicated and educated.
- Maintain and update relevant boundary samples for department/ cell.
- Ensure that effective communication is achieved by self and team during shift handover.
- Ensuring all processes are adhered to by performing regular audits.

Experience
- Excellent knowledge of manufacturing environment and basic knowledge of Health and Safety requirements within that environment.
- 2 years working in a similar fast paced environment
- Proven track record of maintaining high standard of operating practices.
Qualifications
- NVQ –Level 2 or equivalent in Business management
- European Computer Driving Licence (ECDL)– Basic award for IT skills
