The Manufacturing Engineer is a manufacturing expert, championing continuous improvement of cost, delivery, quality and safety. Much of the work of the Manufacturing Engineer is shop floor based, working with production personnel to solve problems and improve methods, equipment and tooling.
Day to day activities include: Kaizen, Improvement projects, Tooling & equipment development, Capital expenditure justification, Method definition & documentation, Engineering change, kanban maintenance and supplier development.
Candidates should have an engineering degree plus 1 years manufacturing experience or HND with 3 years experience, ideally in a low volume, high variety, high technology manufacturing environment.
