Immediate requirement for a Senior Manufacturing Engineer based in West Sussex
The Senior Manufacturing Engineer will provide Manufacturing Engineering input into the design of new products in order to provide solutions that improve manufacturability and quality whilst reducing cost. The Senior Manufacturing Engineer will take the lead role in establishing the Manufacturing Engineering Strategy for a project and leading its implementation, this will usually mean managing a team of Manufacturing Engineers. Day to day activities will include directing the work of those engineers to ensure they are aligned with the activities of the other specialists within the development team. The most relevant experience would be in the systemisation of assembly, including definition of the assembly method, the tooling and the ergonomics of parts handling associated with assembly areas.
To be successful, candidates should have a relevant Engineering degree (Preferably Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering), or HNC with good work experience and demonstrated practical ability. They should also be able to demonstrate a successful track record as a Senior/Manufacturing Engineer in a similar or relevant role.
