The job holder will provide Manufacturing Engineering input and support to the design of new products in order to provide solutions that improve manufacturability and quality whilst reducing cost. They will work with a Senior Manufacturing Engineer to establish the Manufacturing Engineering Strategy for new product introduction. Day to day activities will include working closely with suppliers, other engineers and functions to achieve successful implementation of projects. The most relevant experience would be in electro-mechanical assembly, ideally demonstrating the ability to define an efficient and repeatable assembly process that produces a quality zero defect result. This would include definition of the assembly method plus any tooling required in an ergonomic workplace design that ensures the Health and Safety of the assembly operative.
To be successful, candidates should have a relevant Engineering degree (Preferably Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering), or HNC with good work experience
