Manufacturing Engineer based in West Sussex
The successful Manufacturing Engineer will provide Manufacturing Engineering input into the design of new products in order to provide solutions that improve manufacturability and quality whilst reducing cost. The Senior Manufacturing Engineer will take the lead role in establishing the Manufacturing Engineering Strategy for a project and leading its implementation, this will usually mean managing a team of Manufacturing Engineers. Day to day activities will include directing the work of those engineers to ensure they are aligned with the activities of the other specialists within the development team. The broad activities of the job holder will include:
1) Leading Projects
2)Cost Reduction / Cost Modelling
3)Manufacturing Process Definition
4)Manufacturing Process Risk Analysis
5)Manufacturing Process Improvement
6)Capital Expenditure Justification
7) Introduction of New Products into manufacture
To be successful, candidates should have a relevant Engineering degree (Preferably Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering), or HNC with good work experience and demonstrated practical ability.
