The Supplier Quality Engineer will have total responsibility for minimising the affect of poor supplier quality on operating performance. Central to this objective will be the development and promotion of an appropriate Quality management process in the Supply Base. In addition Quality Engineer will assess factors affecting supplier quality, as well as facilitating the quality improvement process, effective quality reporting, and the creation of a TQM culture in the Supply Base.
Candidates will be able to demonstrate the drive and ability to champion continuous Quality improvement, through team participation and business buy-in. Key attributes which they must possess include: Knowledge of national legislation or procedures, with regard to Health and Safety, Environment, ISRS, ISO9000 and Quality. 4 years experience of light engineering manufacturing operations, processes, customer applications and requirements, and administration is required. This should include knowledge of materials supply, systems, and quality management techniques and procedures.
