Working for a truly a global organisation listed on the London and New York Stock Exchanges and service some 2 million customers.
They are currently recruiting for the role of Supply Management Projects Officer based in their offices within the Surrey area.
Purpose of the job:
Is to support global Supply Management projects and process developments. To provide a wide range of financial and commercial analytical services to Group Supply Management. To support the implementation of Supply Management processes throughout the business and where appropriate lead some and participate in other multi-business supplier related cost reduction projects. Participation in accordance with experience and required development.
Experience:
An understanding of financial analysis techniques, i.e Able to understand and interpret company accounts and project financial appraisals, cost benefit, and business case development, experience of leading edge supplier negotiation techniques and ability to form commercial contracts and service level agreements. Experience of working within Supply Management in a buying and/or materials management role and should be a proficient user of Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Project and Access programs.
Key Business Challenges:
Part of a small team responsible for cementing the Group?s strategic approach to suppliers, capturing and engaging distant parts of the business with group initiatives. Key goals include the ability to provide timely and accurate data to allow strategic business decision making, capturing and delivering continuous quality improvements to purchased products and services and other benefits through supplier innovation. It is critical that the individual develops the appropriate relationships across the businesses in order to facilitate implementation of Supply Management throughout the Group.
Qualifications:
Graduate level with a highly analytical and enquiring mind looking to progress within a large Blue Chip company.
