An exciting opportunity now exists for an experienced Quality Auditor who will be responsible for auditing supplier audit programme, auditing suppliers, enforcing the NESI specification with each raw material supplier, coaching the QA team & Goods In team to ensure a comprehensive record of supplier performance is maintained. You will also be required to provide NESI with supplier due diligence and to support the Intake QA team with fish science knowledge & training
Reporting to the Supply Base Technical Manager your key responsibilities will be
To audit supplier audit programme.
To audit suppliers to ensure they meet NESI and any relevant customer standards.
To enforce the NESI specification with each raw material supplier.
To guide on out of specification material in a way that ensures minimal financial impact to NESI.
Coaching the QA team & Goods In team to ensure a comprehensive record of supplier performance is maintained.
To provide NESI with supplier due diligence.
To support the Intake QA team with fish science knowledge & training
To add fish science knowledge to the technical team
Supplier auditing against pre-agreed plan
Vetting of new suppliers
Specification enforcement
Supplier performance monitoring and feedback
Minimising financial impact of out of specification material
Support NESI with fish science knowledge in new & existing supply base
You will have a Degree in fish science/ marine science and be experienced in the seafood industry. You will have good communication skills, basic leadership skills, be articulate and numerate, be independent, efficient and able to work unsupervised. You will also be capable of understanding and interpreting quality systems.
A Food related degree or equivalent and Lead Auditor Trained would be advantageous
