My client is a global British success story, a £multi-million business with design and manufacturing operations throughout the UK and sites across the world. They supply solutions and services to various advanced manufacturing industries including semiconductor and flat panel TV/displays. Their customers include the likes of Intel, Samsung, Motorola etc.
Currently they are seeking the services of a permanently employed Senior Lawyer to be responsible for legal support to the business for the EMEA region and working closely with the Legal Director. This includes identifying, managing and mitigating legal risk for the business group (covering areas such as competition law, trade, data protection, litigation, product liability issues, and employment law). You will also introduce a policy of best practice and will train and share these with the business.
To be considered you will need a good degree (in an appropriate subject), plus education and professional qualification as a Lawyer. This should typically be coupled with around 7+ years of experience in relevant areas; such as commercial transactions, projects, M&A, specialist areas and corporate governance at a law firm or internal law department. Please note that this role includes overseas travel (e.g. For business meetings, negotiations etc) and as such applicants must be able to travel without visa restrictions on an EU passport.
