Our client is a major Ambient FMCG manufacturing organisation currently looking to recruit an NPD manager to join their team.
Key responsibilities will include:
? Creating concept briefs, developing these into product briefs. To lead and manage delivery.
? Planning & managing product development activity ensuring that new product facility is optimized in terms of speed, timing and resources.
? Building effective relations with suppliers, engaging with the negotiation process at a technical/business level
? Keeping abreast of food market trends & activity & communicating effectively to commercial team. Maintaining close contact with Marketing and consumer trends.
? To own & continuously improve the development part of NPD process. Ensure full communication of activities with Senior Management team, and energizing operatives and teams to engage in NPD processes through the plant
? To create, review and modify where applicable all packaging, recipes & nutritional information where applicable to NPD.
? Plan, control and budget expenditure on NPD. Achieve agreed targets
? Justify NPD capital expenditure recommendations.
? Support of Company initiatives and policies.
You should ideally have a food science degree or similar qualification and relevant work experience within an NPD role and within the Ambient snack FMCG sector.
This is an ideal opportunity for a development technologist with 2-3 years experience to progress to a management role orchestrating the future development of existing and new products for a major Blue Chip organisation.
