Our Client is a global provider of logistic solutions for warehouses, distribution centers and hospitals.
Warehouse & Distribution Solutions is the largest of our client's divisions with an annual net sales of 400 MCHF and 1 100 employees in 15 countries world-wide. Their products and services include logistics consulting, system design, project management, system integration and implementation and customer services as well as in-house software and control systems. Blue chip companies such as Wal-Mart, Coca-Cola, PepsiCo, Gallo Wine and the Foster's Group are all among those who continue to rely on the experience of our client for improving their Supply Chain Management.
Our Client has 125 employees and offices in Slough and Redditch. They are now looking for a Service Engineer, based in the midlands to cover the northern region.
Reporting to the Senior Service Engineer you will be work on a number of sites within the northern region and will be responsible for the maintenance, repair, servicing and modification of our automated warehouse systems, which includes automatic cranes and conveyors. You will be expected to find and cure faults and maintain good customer relations by dealing promptly with customer enquiries, complaints or problems. A high awareness and adherence to company and customer safety regulations will be required at all times.
They are looking for someone with good Electro - Mechanical skills who is used to working on their own initiative and possesses good customer service skills. Knowledge of PLC systems (not necessarily programming level) and experience of working in an industrial or materials handling environment would be desirable.
The role will be suited to someone who is used to working at height, has a good level of health and fitness and wants to develop their career with this successful group. Full training both on and off the job will be given. The successful applicant will be required to work for 5 days Monday – Sunday both with field work and some on sites on a shift basis. You will also be required to go on a call out rota. For which additional payments will be made.
