ROLE - Supplier Quality Specialist – Outsourcing - Dallas, Texas
responsible for working with new and existing suppliers to improve supplier quality processes and performance as well as leading improvement initiatives with current and new suppliers
work with the design engineers and the suppliers to identify weakness/ improvements in the design of the product early in its life cycle to prevent issues impacting manufacturing
issuing and monitoring corrective actions of suppliers on new and reoccurring quality issues
interface with other functional groups in manufacturing to resolve supplier performance issues and coordinating continuous improvement activities within these groups.
follow up with failures from the line and getting it corrected if it is a supplier issue
participate in auditing new suppliers when needed.
set and achieve product yield goals and improvement with the supplier
lead the Continual Improvement Team , Design for Manufacturability, and Assembly projects.
