Our client based in the West Midlands are part of a multi-site FMCG food manufacturing group. They are looking to appoint a production planner to join the existing planning team ensuring production is scheduled efficiently across 2 sites. Your main functions and responsibilities are to create and issue daily production plans, prepare purchase orders to obtain materials from external and internal suppliers, provide efficiency reports, implement planning process improvements and analyse production specifications and plant capacity data to determine manufacturing processes, tools, and human resource requirements.
A logical thinker with strong numeric, analytical and evaluation skills, you will have past experience of production planning within an FMCG environment. You will posses sound commercial and product margin knowledge and excellent communication skills, remain calm under pressure as well as being computer literate with a good level of MS excel. A HND or degree in a Food related discipline is desirable but not essential.
