Our client, a major chilled foods manufacturer is currently looking to appoint a Specification Technologist to ensure that Food Safety, hygiene and Health and Safety requirements are maintained.
You will be responsible for ensuring that:
Raw material specifications are correct and available prior to delivery
Supplier approval information is up to date
QA intake raw material specifications are maintained and implemented
Technical service reports are generated
Specification information is communicated to the relevant departments and relevant databases and files are maintained
Factory process specifications are correct and issued appropriately
The successful candidate will be logical, practical and computer literate and hold a minimum of a HND in Food science or related subject. You will have 1-2 years experience working in a food manufacturing Technical Function working for, or supplying a major food retailer. Practical knowledge of third party accreditations such as ISO / BRC is also desirable.
