My client is a world leader in electronics and mechanical engineering within a growing market. The company is now in an exciting phase of its growth and now needs an experienced Quality Engineer to provide Quality Assurance support, analysis and process improvement
You will be responsible for the management, disposition and reporting on nonconforming products maintaining Concerns Log and monthly PoNC Metrics (Price of Nonconformance) keeping levels of Nonconforming product internally to a minimum. You will implement improvement initiatives to drive down PoNC (Warranty, Rework, Scrap) In addition you will be required to resolve quality issues in the production environment liaising with internal departments to maintain production output, conduct defect analysis and reporting, conduct customer complaint investigation and reporting in instances of customer complaint or dissatisfaction with product or process, conduct internal product audits to ensure conformance to build standards and specification including validation of product records, measurement and mechanical / electrical inspection, and conduct final audit and inspection of product to build standard prior to issue of Certificate of Conformity and shipment including validation of product records, measurement and mechanical / electrical inspection
The ideal candidate may have a professional qualification in Quality Assurance, Electrical Engineering or manufacturing couple with experience in a similar role within an organisation manufacturing electro-mechanical components and products. This should include experience of measurement and inspection, root cause analysis and continuous improvement.
