HEAD OF OPERATIONS
WHOLESALE PHARMACEUTICALS
c £ 65,000 + Benefits NW London
Our client is a highly successful independent pharmaceutical company dedicated to customer service. Consistently profitable, the firm is on track to achieve turnover in excess of £80 million this year and has exciting plans for further profitable growth through organic growth and diversification. Reporting to the joint owner-managers, a Head of Operations is now required who will play a key role in this progressive, fast-moving business.
The Challenge:
To maximise the effectiveness of the Group’s operations to promote profitable growth
To take responsibility for incoming stock and packaging, for re-packaging and labelling operations, for warehouse storage and for dispatch
To manage staff either directly or through Quality, Production, Warehouse and Regulatory Affairs supervisors
To champion the development of the Group’s quality control and regulatory compliance systems
To take responsibility for facilities and equipment management
The Candidate:
Graduate-calibre operations professional with practical experience of a high value, time sensitive supply chain or distribution environment
Some exposure to the pharmaceutical or life sciences industry would be an advantage
Commercial approach to business with excellent strategic vision and the ability to ‘make things happen’
Proven ability to manage people including recruitment, coaching, and motivation
First-class communicator with high-levels of credibility and effective influencing skills
