This is a fantastic opportunity to join an expanding organisation that is recognised as a specialist supplier of RF, microwave and sensing component and sub-systems with a strong, and in a number of cases leading, positions in global, niche markets.
The overall purpose of the role is to be an effective and proactive interface between internal customers and external vendors, to ensure all company spend in support of production purchasing is effectively managed.
The main areas of responsibility within this position are: -
Material and sub-contract make versus buy studies in support of out/in sourcing opportunities
Investigation and implementation of low cost economy sourcing projects
Day to day support to Material Control for purchasing master data update
Working as a key member of the various company teams in providing purchasing support for projects and new product developments
Identification and implementation of cost reductions, outsourcing and risk mitigation initiatives in support of business and business development requirements
Negotiation, development and implementation supply agreements, strategies for commodity sourcing and supply
Material and sub-contract support to bids and tenders
To add value to the processes and teams through a thorough understanding of manufacturing constraints
Manage processes through the corporate ERP system SAP
