Production Engineering Manager required for this well established, privately owned British company which has been designing and manufacturing communication and telemetry systems. Your remit will be:
Day to day management of the Production Department Drawing Office.
Work alongside the Production Department Product Managers and Engineering Department to ensure that the Assembly and Test personnel have the correct information packages available. These to Include:
Assembly Drawings
BOM's
Test Procedures
Assembly Procedures
Approval of Documents generated by the drawing team
Management of production aspects of change notes
Production Department approval of BOM's, Change Notes and other documents
To assist the Product Managers with the design of "specials" and "variants" of existing products.
Skills:
"Rf and Microwave design, assembly and test knowledge
"Appreciation of digital and assembly design technique
"Knowledge of drawing packages such as Autocad and Solid Works
"PCB Layout knowledge would be an advantage
"Mechanical Design knowledge would be an advantage
"Need to verify that designs are fit for manufacture and meet the product specification
"The ability to prioritize
"Good written and presentational skills
