Chilled Food Manufacturer
A leading Chilled Foods Manufacturer currently looking to recruit a Production Manager to join their team, in order to assume responsibility for all production issues relating to the operation in an allocated area and ensure maximum profitability in the area.
Key Responsibilities include:
Fully support and deliver communications strategy, both verbal and written, to all staff (team briefs, weekly hourly reviews, informal chats). Role is responsible for analysing and providing information on performance to all functions.
Ensure 'area' achieves all agreed KPIs within framework
Create a committed, skilled and flexible team through delivery and control of training plans.
Provide strong, directional leadership to teams by adopting a challenge and involve style and using GROW techniques.
Facilitate performance reviews with 'Team Members'.
Ensure a suitable candidate is planned to 'stand-in' during absence periods.
Promote a safe working environment for all.
Deliver and support site policies/procedures.
Ensure all decisions mare made with a TLC regime.
Directly manage and control all direct labour costs in line with budget targets.
Directly manage and control all material costs in line with budget targets.
Support initiatives through the MIT process and drive the business towards total lowest cost of materials.
Ensure that the requirements stated in our Health and Safety Policy are communicated and implemented fully within your areas of control.
A 'can do' attitude demonstrated in a challenging manufacturing environment and Engaging leadership and influencing skills are essential while a Working knowledge of CI tools/techniques would be advantageous.
