Our client is a worldwide leader in metering products, systems and services for the electricity, gas, water and heat markets. They are currently looking to recruit as development of the market has been rapid, therefore meaning new positions and spaces must be filled to keep up with the demand upon the company.
The client is in the process of recruiting a Production Planner to come on board and work at their head office in Felixstowe, to this extent only applicants who abide within a radius of 30 miles will be considered for the position as the company are not currently offering a relocation package or assistance to people living outside of the area.
Your responsibilities will be as follows:
• To produce and co-ordinate production schedules for Manufacturing to ensure that products are trialled and manufactured on time, and delivery dates are achieved according to schedule.
• To ensure that, through the flexible manufacturing structure, Manufacturing Operations meet customer expectations in terms of quality, delivery, cost and reliability.
• To manage the demands of the customer supply chain, both internally and externally. This includes the ability to evaluate, plan, cross reference, communicate and justify decisions taken, and monitor the production of meters and PCBs, through personal and computer based interface.
Ideal applicants will be able to display an understanding of manufacturing processes and resource issues, along with being able to demonstrable working knowledge of MRP / MRP II in a manufacturing or similar industrial environment; and carry a Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel at intermediate level or above, (for example v lookups, graphs, statistics, formulas and pivot tables) in order to plan and action resource requirements and manufacturing outputs.
