Development Support Technician
South East
Our client has recently received a large amount of VC funded investment which shall aid it into making further improvements on its highly respected SoC product family. As a young company, career advancement shall be rapid. People who join the company at this stage need to be able to hit the ground running, hence current and valid experience is a pre-requisite.
The Development Support Technician will be responsible for providing laboratory and test support to the company's R&D and Applications teams and will be responsible for the day to day running of the company's electronics lab, including the sourcing and maintenance of equipment as required. Specific responsibilities will include the prototype build and test of the company's development circuits, designing, sourcing and building development and reference PCBs and providing practical support to the company's R&D and Applications Engineers in the areas of wafer level IC test and the testing of packaged ICs.
Main tasks and responsibilities:
· Day to day running of the company's laboratory facilities
· Providing practical support to the company's R&D and Applications Teams
· Support testing of semiconductor products at silicon wafer level
· Support testing of packaged ICs
· Maintain wafer records (location, packaging and shipping to partner companies)
· PCB design/populate of development boards
· PCB design/populate of reference boards
· Responsibility for ordering maintaining equipment and supplies
· Documentation of own work as required
