Our client currently seeks a Technical Project Manager to join their successful team operating within the European Consumer Packaging Industry. The role will be based initially in Cambridgeshire, with a subsequent permanent relocation to France. The company offers a full comprehensive relocation package to the successful applicant, with full assistance in the immediate relocation to Cambridgeshire and the subsequent permanent relocation to France.
This is an exceptional opportunity for an accomplished and strongly commercial Project Manager to strengthen the European technical team of a major international group which is the world leader in the aerosol valves industry with a global market share of around 40%.
The role, upon appointment, will be based at the UK's modern manufacturing plant in Cambridgeshire. The group's European operation has dominated its market for many years and its success is built on continuous capital investment, ground-breaking technical development and the provision of exceptional service to a blue chip customer base marketing high profile brands.
Reporting to the European Technical Manager, your overall brief will be to ensure the company continues to deliver world-class technical support to its customers across Europe through the "hands on" management of major projects and the continuous identification and introduction of the latest project management tools and techniques. This will involve the co-ordination of the company's considerable commercial, engineering and production resources whilst working in close partnership with some of the world's leading FMCG companies and key suppliers. Qualified to degree-level in an engineering discipline, you must have a proven track record of managing all aspects of complex technical projects in international consumer packaging or a closely allied arena. This will include significant knowledge and experience of mould design and injection moulding techniques and the application of CAD with associated 3-D design software.
A meticulous organiser, you will be experienced with customers, an outstanding communicator with a good working knowledge of English although it may not be your mother tongue. A second European language would be highly advantageous, supported by your ability to travel extensively and a willingness to relocate to France at some stage in the future.
