In this role you will have responsibility for the development and implementation of our Six Sigma strategy across our European operations; with 2-3 years hands on black belt experience, you will be a strong leader and motivator within the teams across Europe and have proven knowledge of manufacturing processes
For over half a century, Our Client has led the way in the production of advanced composite materials used in the commercial aerospace, space & defence, electronics, recreation and the automotive industry. With facilities and customers around the world and annual sales in excess of $500m, they are truly a global business.
We are currently recruiting for a European Six Sigma Black Belt who will be responsible for the development and implementation of their Six Sigma strategy across our European operations. In particular we will be looking to you to:
- Reduce material useage/scrap costs for designated product lines
- Reduce late customer deliveries
- Minimise operating down time
- Train and co-ordinate designated site teams
- Introduce robust D.M.A.I.C procedures to define and measure project results
Educated to degree level in Engineering, Chemistry or Materials Science, you'll be a certified Black Belt (or working towards this level).
With 2-3 years hands on experience of leading Six Sigma project teams, you'll bring a proven knowledge of manufacturing processes and a familiarity with continuous improvement techniques and cost saving approaches.
Able to demonstrate the delivery of project savings in excess of $200,000 in the last 12 months, you'll also be experienced in delivering training and coaching to project teams
Based at our clients Cambridge site, you will work extensively across their European sites located in France, Spain, Austria and Belgium. Travel will be an essential part of the role, and basic knowledge of at least one of the following languages would be ideal, French, German or Spanish. You should also be willing to undertake intensive training within a language.
This is a high profile position and you should be able to demonstrate a track record of effective cross-functional working and influence. You'll also have an intuitive understanding of different cultures.
