Quality Engineer
Basic up to £28000 + Benefits

My client is a well-established manufacturer of high reliability components into the defense and aerospace industry. Although part of large group, they are run autonomously, and have an enviable client base both in the UK and across Europe. They now seek a Quality Engineer to assist the Quality Manager to achieve the Company's Quality and Continuous Improvement objectives and lead and assist internal and external audit teams to ensure that the Quality system complies to the relevant standards.
The successful engineer will be the key contact for customer and supplier complaints resolving the issues relating to these queries and if necessary travelling to their premises. You will champion all aspects of the Company's continuous improvement programme and identify opportunities for implementing process improvements.
The successful candidate will be qualified to HND level, ideally in an engineering or manufacturing discipline, with a strong engineering background and knowledge and experience of ISO quality systems and Lean Manufacturing techniques.
