This is an excellent opportunity for a Production Planning Manager with experience of production control and scheduling gained in electronics manufacturing.
You will join a well established manufacturer of products for the international broadcast television, cable and satellite industry, based in Reading. This is a new job created as a result of continued success and expansion. MRP/ERP experience is essential.
Responsibilities will include the following:
* Ensure efficient production control and scheduling
* Pre-Sales and Sales responsibilities including responding to customer delivery requests and management of information associated with the sales order process
* Generating and analysing Operations performance information, generating improvement recommendations in terms of material stock levels and operational processes.
* Recommending and agreeing improvement strategies with the Operations Director before assembling and managing ad-hoc teams to carry out these strategies
* To monitor ERP system configuration and set-ups, to ensure operational effectiveness
Experience required:
You must have an in depth knowledge of Production planning processes. Experience of MRPII and ERP and have a thorough understanding of the processes and philosophies associated with working within an ERP environment is essential.
The successful candidate will be managing a small team and, therefore, man management and team building experience is essential. A broad operational based background with a track record of successful planning and implementation of large capital projects.
You must be able to manage the daily time critical activities without compromising longer term improvement projects.

Skills and Qualifications:
* Degree level or equivalent in a related subject
* Project management training
* Good organisational and communication skills
