As the global leader in gem sorting, this Client currently sorts and values around two thirds of the World's annual supply of rough diamonds. This employs the use of cutting edge technology coupled with unparalleled experience. For over 20 years the core activity of the Research Centre at this Company has been the design and manufacture of image-based machines for the sorting, weighing, and valuing of these gems into their 16,000 respective categories.
Working as an integral part of a small software team you will be responsible for creating embedded software for the real-time control of these sorting machines.
You should have 3yrs+ post-qualification experience of C/C++ both embedded for PC (ideally on a Linux platform with some knowledge of networking), as well as embedded for microprocessors/microcontrollers (any experience of TMS320 DSP will be advantageous).
