My client is a Japanese component manufacturer, established in the early 1950's to serve the avionics industry. They have a global presence and are well respected by their clients and competitors alike. They predominantly manufacture connector products which are sold into various market sectors including automotive, communications, networking and optics. They invest a huge amount into their people and product development and are firm believers in ensuring their customers are happy at all times.
They now seek an Operations Manager to run their customer services team and ensure they have the right tools to do their jobs efficiently and effectively. The role will involve you distributing the work load evenly, supervision and motivation of the team, the setting and achievement of goals and targets, training and new staff appointments. You will be expected to train people in the use of the SAP system so will have used this yourself. You will also have at least 2/3 years man-management experience and will be comfortable producing reports and with all aspects of office administration and process.
Reporting directly to the General Manager, you will be expected to make an immediate impact and work closely with the business analysts in order to get the maximum out of the system for operational purposes. You will be a strong candidate with excellent communication skills and the ability to achieve results whilst working under pressure.
