Our client is one of the world leaders in the Design and manufacture of rugged, real-time video tracking and image processing Sub-systems, are currently looking to employ Test Engineer in their production department.
Qualifications and Experience required for this role are:
HNC or equivalent in Electronics
5+ years relevant work experience
Test of microprocessor based circuit boards
Test of general analogue and digital circuit boards
Fault finding to component level
Experienced in the use of electronics test equipment i.e: Signal generators, meters and oscilloscopes
Good written and verbal communications, as well as good documentation
Knowledge and awareness of programming in script languages would be useful
Familiarity with video would be beneficial
Skills required:
Good team player but must have the ability to work on own initiative
Duties and responsibilities:
Preparation of test documentation
Board level test of processor and video based boards
Perform production tests on newly built units
Perform diagnostic tests on returned units
Undertake environmental and stress screening tests
Functional and performance testing at board and system level
Fault finding at system down to component level
Liaison with other staff such as engineers, project managers, sales and marketing
