An expanding FMCG chilled foods manufacturing site is currently seeking an experienced buyer to control the procurement of short shelf life products and ambient raw materials as well as negotiating site service contracts.
You will be responsible for rationalising the supply base and bringing value to the company by challenging existing practices and suppliers. As a Buyer you will be involved in direct negotiation and will manage the supplier relationships.
You will have proven experience in a similar procurement role, ideally from a food background. The preferred candidate will be very strategic with a strong business sense and understanding the market and industry. You will be computer literate with strong interpersonal and negotiation skills.
